BioWhat is Cool?
Cool is like art: You know it when you see it. Cool mirrors the times. Some say it was born after World War II, forged by the heated pressure of technological change. When things cooled down, it was less about the speed of sound than the sound of speed. It was about poise, not pose. The jazzman of the early Fifties, a lone figure on a darkened and smoky stage, came to symbolize the first blush of cool...
My real name is "T" and I'm a freshman at JSU. I'm a drummer, but I march mellophone for the Marching Southerners. Mellophones are bitchin'. I love music and I want to be a band director, we'll see how that works out. I'm a music education/criminal justice major. I'm from Miami and I miss it like hell, but Alabama's cool too. No where I'd live permenantly though. Just not exactly my style. My favorite band is the Spice Girls, as dorky and immature as that may sound, I absolutely love them. I also love the Gablettes and Company, and I am their #1 fan, even from 800 miles away. I play bass guitar and am the assitant vocalist for the Jammie Pies, the hottest band out of South Florida.
